ABOUT

Mira Maktabi is a London-based luxury womenswear designer creating sculptural, effortless pieces for women who move through life with confidence and presence. Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, with Iranian and Iraqi heritage, Mira grew up surrounded by her family’s handmade Persian rug business, inheriting a deep respect for craftsmanship, detail, and artistry passed down through generations.

A Central Saint Martins MA Fashion graduate and finalist in Fashion Trust Arabia’s debut category, Mira founded her eponymous brand in 2024 to merge couture-level technique with contemporary ease. Working in natural fibers such as French silk and Savile Row wool, each piece is ethically hand-crafted in London, reflecting quality, longevity, and a connection to the heirloom traditions of fine tailoring.

The brand’s ethos is unapologetically bold: garments that balance strength and softness, structure and fluidity, elegance and attitude. Designed for women of all ages who refuse to be constrained by rules or expectations, Mira Maktabi’s pieces empower their wearer to be seen and heard, commanding presence with ease, confidence, and freedom of movement. Every creation is a statement: crafted to last, treasured, and celebrated as part of a life fully lived.

Mira Maktabi’s graduate collection debuted at London Fashion Week AW24. Since then, the brand has been featured in numerous publications and interviewed by The New York Times and Vogue, amongst others. In October 2025, Mira was invited as a guest speaker for SHOWstudio. In November 2025 One of our signature looks was exhibited at M7 Qatar as part of “Threads of Impact,” celebrating seven years of Fashion Trust Arabia, the exhibition is on view till January 2026.
